1. Asslamualikum. Please accept my heartiest congratulations on your well deserved commission and joining the Army Family. I am sure this epistle finds you in the best of your health and spirit.
2. This is the most important time in your service career when you have the scope of learning all about the unit. You should also look after your professional study so that you can reach the zenith. I am confident your sincerity, dedication and professionalism will add new dimension in your new place of posting. I have a few pieces of advice for all my beloved officers; just remember that the first four years of your service life is like a doctor doing his/her internee. Like an internee, the first five years is the period of acquiring knowledge (as much as possible) and make a strong base for your career. You should earn knowledge and gather experience so that you have the scope of contribution in future for upholding the reputation of Army.
3. In the unit you shall come across officers of different natures. You shall come across different traditions of units. No more guidance from your platoon commanders now, it's all onto you now. Use your conscious to decide which one is right and which one is wrong. Do not be guided by temptations. Before you take any action, just ask your heart whether its wrong or right and you will get the reply.
4. May Allah the Almighty keep you in good health and enable you to perform your best to meet the challenge.
